Pokemon Emerald Trashlocke Edition is a GBA Rom Hack based on Pokemon Emerald that packs a challenge for its players!

Description

The Pokedex was chosen by hand. The design philosophy centred on distributing encounters to the player based on the viability of a Pokemon. Every Pokemon in Generation 3’s National Dex was discussed and debated in my Twitch chat about whether or not it should be included.

The only changes were to wild Pokemon and static encounters, as well as the addition of NPCs that limit access to specific areas. The reasoning behind this is to get as close to beating Pokemon Emerald as possible using only bad Pokemon.

The game is optimised for the Nuzlocke challenge, which is the most enjoyable way to play it in my opinion. That being said, feel free to enjoy the game in any way you see fit. The balance is also designed with the fact that trade evolutions are not available in mind, which is why Onix, Machoke, and Haunter are in the game.
